Friendship
It's Wednesday! You know what that means, time for another post!
So dear readers how has your week been going? For me it's going pretty well! Mostly.... 😋
Anyways, I hope you enjoyed my poem on teachers. Today I want to talk about something which is very dear to my heart. Something that is hard to find and even harder to keep. Something that can make you love people insanely, or despise them until your heart breaks in half.
Friendship.
As a girl who moves around a lot, it's hard making new friends. Even harder to grace the hallways with confidence, when everyone is pointing and snickering at you muttering "new girl", on the contrary to one of those cliche movies.
Friendship for me has always been hard to find. I've had many arguments, and many fights. But I've also gotten to experience a wild taste of different opinions. I've learned friends are people who bring you down to earth. They have varying opinions, different perspectives, and their thoughts soar and roam free, just like our own. The roller coaster of friendship is like getting a taste of adventure, scary and nerve-wracking but at the same time you heart pumps so fast and you feel so jubilant, you never want to let go.
Seeing it is, my second year at my new school, I've learned who my true friends are. I've had plenty of arguments and falling outs, but those only led me to the path of light. God was showing me who were my real friends. Sprits who guide the way. I've learned not to have hatred, enmity, and instead embrace everyone, or at least try to. I've learned who my true friends are, and I can say that my friends are like warm rays of sunshine poking through a gloomy cloud, when you're having a bad day. Isn't that how we all feel about our friends? It is definitely how I feel about my friends, who are always there for me, and though we have might disagree to some degree, I know they love me no matter what. Real friends see the good in you, the light. They make you feel loved and happy, never sad and down.
So I will stop writing furthermore! In honor of friendship I have wrote and poured my heart out in this poem. I hope you readers enjoy it!
A promise of friendship
You're my friend
And this is true
You're usurp of my friendship
Without even meaning too
And I guess though you drive me crazy
And we have had our fair shares of ups and downs
When I'm without you I'm lackadaisical
But when I'm with you we have goof off too many times to count
When we are together we are hysterical
Driving everyone around us demure
With our smart little pranks and antics
This is an oath to our friendship for sure
You never make me feel repressive
In fact when I'm with you I can soar free
And though sometimes you drive me to the brink of frustration
I know we will requite, for friends we will always remain and be
We could be stuck in some jerkwater place
Bored for all I know
But you enlighten each day with your liveliness
Everywhere we go!
You promenade in a striking fashion
And you never fail to me make me laugh
You aren't afraid to take on new challenges
No matter how silly or daft.
Though we get annoyed with each other sometimes
And we fight
We always make up in the end
Because we will always do what's right.
You are droll, saucy, boisterous, and real
You are everything
a friend should be too
So I just wanted to say thanks for being my friend, and l'll always be yours
For this is my promise of friendship to you.
